Abstract

A possible combination of continuously distributed and concentrated delays is incorporated in a monopoly model with either bounded or unbounded time window for the past data, while its length and the adjustment speed may vary. In this general setting, we obtain sufficient stability conditions. Sharper tests are established for autonomous equations with finite or infinite distributed delays. A similar stability analysis is implemented for the output of the leader firm in the Stackelberg duopoly model.
