Abstract

In this paper we consider the following Timoshenko system ϕtt − (ϕx + ψ)x = 0, (0, 1) × IR+ ψtt − ψxx + ϕx + ψ + Zt 0 g(t − τ)ψxx(τ)dτ = 0, (0, 1) × IR+ with Dirichlet boundary conditions where g is a positive nonincreasing function. We establish a generalized stability result for this system.
