The purpose of this paper is, by using viscosity approximation methods, to find a common element of the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem and the set of fixed point of a nonexpansive mappings in a Hilbert space and to prove, under suitable conditions, some strong convergence theorems for approximating a solution of the problem under consideration.
